In this post, you’ll find a compilation of all the money-saving tips I’ve shared on this blog so far. The list is still growing as I add more money-saving techniques on this blog.
How to Save Cooking Gas
Using Cooking Gas[oline]
I found that cooking using fuels like ethanol in a pressure stove has cut my cooking gas costs by 75%.
This could be a great way for you to save money. Take a moment to do the math and see if using a pressure stove with ethanol is more economical in your city. This really has the potential to save you a lot of money.
I’ve covered this topic in more detail in another post of mine: A Cheaper Alternative to Cooking Gas. If you’re interested, you can check it out for more information.
The Fireless Cooker
In “The Fireless Cooker: Save Cooking Gas with Materials You Already Have at Home,” I explain what a fireless cooker is and how you can make one yourself. Basically, it uses retained heat to finish the cooking process, allowing you to turn off the heat earlier than usual.
A fireless cooker not only saves cooking gas but also reduces time spent in the kitchen. Additionally, it helps preserve the flavors and nutrients in your food. In that post, you’ll find practical tips on how to use a fireless cooker and discover its benefits for both the environment and your home.
How to Save Money on Groceries
Consider buying directly from those who supply products to your local grocery store. By doing so, you can save a lot of money. Cutting out the middleman will result in lower prices for you as a consumer.
Keep in mind that not all suppliers may offer direct-to-consumer sales. Also, they might have minimum order quantities or specific pickup locations.
However, I’ve provided the solution to these matters in another post that I wrote, How to Save Money on Groceries: The Neighbourhood Union.
How to Save Money on Razors
I’ll receive a small commission if you purchase through my links, at no extra cost to you.
Consider the significant amount of money spent annually on razors.
I would spend about BRL 12.00 per month on razors. In other words, BRL 144.00 per year! I will not waste that money.
Instead of that, I use this razor, a safety razor.
By using it, I spend only BRL 1.20 per year (yes, per year!).
In a separate post, I provide more detailed information about the specific safety razor I use, and here you can find some of the benefits and advantages of a safety razor: It’s Time to Switch to a Safety Razor.
The price of a safety razor is higher, but in the long run it is much cheaper than disposable razors. The only thing you need to keep buying is the razor blades, and the cost of these blades is pretty small.
Save Money by Growing Native Plants
A garden of native plants can save you water and many other things. If you’re interested, you can find more information about it in this other post: Save Money and the Planet by Growing Native Plants.
Knowing how to forage for wild, edible plants is a great skill, plus it can save you money by cutting down the spending on vegetables. HAHAHA
